Private equity firm KKR, through its $8 billion European Fund VI, has agreed to make a growth investment in FGS Global, a leading strategic advisory and communications firm.
The deal will allow the company to expand employee ownership to nearly half of its staff—which includes 1,300 employees across 27 global offices. FGS was formed through a combination of strategic communications and public affairs firms Finsbury, The Glover Park Group, Hering Schuppener, and Sard Verbinnen & Co., and currently serves more than 1,600 clients worldwide.
KKR’s European Fund VI focuses on investing alongside founders, entrepreneurs and corporates to provide flexible capital for strategic partnership transactions.
The S&C team advising FGS includes Melissa Sawyer, Matt Goodman and John Karol. Isaac Wheeler and Ha Jin Lee are advising on tax matters. Marc Treviño and Heather Coleman are advising on executive compensation matters.
