Baxter International Inc. has agreed to acquire Hillrom for a total enterprise value of $12.4 billion, including the assumption of debt. Hillrom is a global medical technology company that offers digital and connected care solutions and collaboration tools, including smart bed systems, patient monitoring and diagnostic technologies, respiratory health devices, and advanced equipment for the surgical needs. The deal, announced September 2, will enable Baxter to provide a broader array of medical products and services to patients and clinicians and accelerate the companies' expansion into digital and connected care solutions.
