S&C advised N&P Holdings in the sale of its interest in the Major League Soccer team Inter Miami F.C. N&P Holdings is indirectly owned by Marcelo Claure, the CEO of Japan’s Softbank Group International. Softbank’s founder, Masayoshi Son, also sold his interest in Inter Miami. The interest was sold to the team’s existing co-owners, Jorge Mas, Jose Mas and David Beckham.
Ares Management joined Inter Miami as a preferred equity investor via a $150 million investment through one of its funds.
