Taiwan Cement Corporation (TCC) has reached an agreement with French electric utility ENGIE S.A. to purchase a 60.5 percent stake in its technological division, ENGIE EPS.
TCC is a preeminent industrial group in Asia. ENGIE EPS, a French company listed on Euronext Paris with research, development and production facilities in Italy, is focused on energy storage systems, industrial solutions and eMobility. ENGIE EPS will rebrand to NHOA at closing.
The S&C team advising TCC included Gwen Wong and Rosana Tse, in Hong Kong, as well as Olivier de Vilmorin, Arnaud Berdou, Eliza Morawska and Brieuc Apffel in Paris. Nicolas de Boynes and Jérôme Rueda are advising on tax matters. Pierre Moullet is advising on antitrust and competition law matters.
