Ryne Miller moderated the panel, “Blockchain, Cryptocurrency and NFTs in Sports” at a meeting of the Corporate Subcommittee of the New York City Bar Association’s Sports Law Committee. Ryne and panelists Adrienne O’Keeffe (Associate Vice President of Global Partnerships at the NBA) and Caty Tedman (Head of Marketing & Partnerships at Dapper Labs) discussed the opportunities and challenges this technology presents in the sports world, including Adrienne’s and Caty’s experiences with NBA Top Shot – a platform that allows fans to buy, sell and trade digital collectibles. The panel discussion, which was held on April 27, was attended by more than 40 lawyers in the New York City sports industry.
