On September 12, S&C partner John Evangelakos participated on a panel at the ABA Business Law Section Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. that discussed directors’ responsibilities in overseeing cybersecurity. The panel focused on helping directors understand the evolving cybersecurity threat environment and how to navigate complying with SEC guidance, state law fiduciary duties and the requirements of other agencies, including the FTC. This annual conference gathered thought leaders from across all areas of business law to provide substantive discussions and events regarding emerging trends in different practice areas.
John is a partner in S&C’s New York office and is co-head of the Firm’s Cybersecurity Practice and the Firm’s Intellectual Property & Technology Group. He has led transactions in a wide variety of industries, including in the technology and cybersecurity sectors and in the financial services sector.
