On April 26, Kathryn Campbell spoke at the Ninth Session of the United Nations Expert Group on Resource Classification, of which she is a member. The session was held at the United Nations in Geneva. The Expert Group was established by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe Committee on Sustainable Energy and provides guidance on the development and application of the U.N. framework classification for global resources including oil, gas, minerals and renewables. A significant focus at this year’s session was the potential use of the UNFC in developing countries to provide better information for allocating and attracting capital to sustainable energy projects.
