Sullivan & Cromwell is committed to fostering an inclusive work environment for all individuals. We believe that a diversity of perspectives is vital to the Firm’s ability to provide our clients with the highest level of service. Accordingly, the Firm’s culture and policies value the unique abilities and perspectives of every individual.
The Firm’s Diversity Committee is co-chaired by a partner in the Firm’s Litigation department and a partner in the Firm’s General Practice department. Other members of the Diversity Committee include the Firm’s senior chair, practice group managing partners, hiring partners, assigning partners, and chairs of the Firm’s affinity networks. The Diversity Committee – in conjunction with our Diversity Management Department (DMD) – is charged with developing, implementing and coordinating the Firm’s diversity initiatives.
The Firm’s affinity networks—each of which is open to all lawyers—are integral to our efforts to maintain and enhance an inclusive workplace and community. These networks meet regularly and offer candid forums for our people to seek advice, share experiences and discuss work-related issues.
Our lawyers have diverse backgrounds; they speak over 40 languages fluently and they come from approximately 40 different countries and 190 different law schools.
