Andrew Soussloff joined Sullivan & Cromwell in 1981 and was a partner of the Firm from 1986 to 2012. He was a member of the General Practice Group, with a practice primarily focused on corporate finance, M&A and corporate governance. He represented clients in the United States, Latin America, Canada, Europe and Asia in hundreds of securities offerings, acquisitions and other commercial transactions. He has worked with major corporations, leading global financial institutions and sovereign governments in connection with their capital-raising activities in the United States and international markets and regularly advised public companies on public disclosure, securities law and corporate governance issues.
Mr. Soussloff has been regularly recognized as a leading lawyer in Capital Markets and Corporate/M&A by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business; Chambers Global: The World’s Leading Lawyers for Business; IFLR1000: The Guide to the World’s Leading Financial Law Firms; The Best Lawyers in America; Euromoney’s Guide to the World’s Leading Capital Markets Lawyers; Euromoney’s Guide to the World’s Leading Mergers and Acquisitions Lawyers; The Legal 500 US, Volume I; and New York Super Lawyers.
Mr. Soussloff was elected to the Legal Practice Division Council of the International Bar Association (2004-2006) and held other leadership positions in the IBA, including Chair, Capital Markets Forum (2005-2006) and Chair, Securities Law Committee (2000-2003).
