On June 8, The Bank of New York Mellon hosted a blood drive awards recognition luncheon at its New York headquarters honoring outstanding law firm, bar association and law school blood drives. Hosted by BNY Mellon, the event recognized the contributions of the legal sector in maintaining safe and adequate blood supplies for New York City’s sick and injured. The S&C 2010 Blood Drive received the first place award in every category (with the exception of most improved). Law Sector Blood Drive co-chair Mr. Brennan spoke at the luncheon and noted that it is the collective effort and accomplishment of the many S&C blood donors and drive supporters who contribute to make the event such a success each year. BNY Mellon and New York Blood Center also extended their appreciation to the S&C Blood Drive for its longstanding contributions to New York City’s blood supply. Mr. Brennan and David Goldberg, assistant manager of records, accepted the awards on behalf of S&C. Mr. Seymour also attended the event in his capacity as New York City Bar Association president.
