S&C was named M&A Law Firm of the Year at Global M&A Network’s 2011 M&A Atlas Awards, held on March 10 at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. S&C also received the Healthcare & Pharmaceutical Deal of the Year award for its role representing the Alcon, Inc. Independent Director Committee in Novartis AG’s majority acquisition of Alcon from Nestle SA. Mr. Pagnani, who led the S&C team in that deal, was honored as Global M&A Lawyer of the Year.
