In a December 6 article titled, “Kodak Shuffles Advisers as It Fights to Avoid Bankruptcy,” The Wall Street Journal highlighted S&C’s recent appointment to represent Kodak in its goal to avoid bankruptcy. As noted in the article, Kodak is committed to reworking its finances in an effort to find alternatives to filing for bankruptcy. The article further explained, “The shift in advisers is seen as subtle but meaningful in the restructuring community. While Sullivan & Cromwell has a restructuring practice that does handle Chapter 11 filings, the Firm often serves as corporate counsel advising public companies on a wide range of transactions that don't involve a trip through bankruptcy court.”
