In the Expert’s View column published in the February 2012 issue of Practical Law The Journal, Mr. Hurd discussed the trends and developments in public M&A deals in the current market, specifically in the healthcare industry. Mr. Hurd reviewed negotiating issues, such as transaction certainty concerns, that he faced in 2011 and predicted M&A trends in 2012 to include a moderate level of deal making in the healthcare and energy industries, but a lower level of activity in other industries, such as banking.
